The first time Neal Brennan came to Cleveland he performed at REDDSTONE on the west side back in June. Since then, he’s appeared on LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON, CONAN and just recorded a Half Hour special for COMEDY CENTRAL which will be airing in the next few months.

When I was out in New York a few weeks ago doing shows, Neal was in town filming FALLON. He got me into the Comedy Cellar to watch a show then happened to be doing a dope show at UCB called WHIPLASH that I went to see, where he was on a bill with Jessi Klein, Kumail Nunjiani, Sean Patton and Demetri Martin. His new stuff is great.

He’s coming back with oodles of fresh material about Barack Obama & his penis. This time penetrating COVENTRY performing at #bigchucklefck at the Grog Shop TUESDAY MARCH 13. That’s tomorrow. Tickets are $17 day of the show, or can be purchased for $10 until 7p Tuesday night. Show starts sharply at 8p.

Rounding out the show will be Chicago comedians DREW MICHAEL and CLARK JONES. Drew is in the Comedians You Should Know group, so if you enjoyed Junior Stopka/Mike Lebovitz or Danny Kallas in the past few weeks, you’ll want to check out Drew. It’s his 3rd time coming through for shows. Clark is the comedian who’s improved the most since I first met him a few years back. This is his 4th time coming out to Cleveland!

ZACHARIAH DURR is one of my absolute favorite people in the world. I’m not sure whether that’s because of his outlandish sense of humor, propensity for crafting or his lady geisha morning robe. Regardless, whenever he’s in town I’m excited to see something outlandish and extremely creative.

He’s produced on the cult TV show FOOD PARTY on IFC and crafted for lots of exciting things in the BUSINESS!

Liza Treyger (@GlitterCheese) and I hate each other in the most loving way possible. She’s overtly bossy, sassy and uses her hands to talk. I’m covertly bossy, chill and stifle conversations. I met her a few summers ago when I lived in Chicago. She’s as kinetic a ball of energy offstage as she is on. After we hung out a few times we figured each other out and get along well. She’s prone to trade insults back and forth with me, which is right in line with almost all my regular people friends from before doing comedy.

She’s come to Cleveland in the past to do a show at Kent State & also to perform at Ingenuity Fest in the summer and loved it. We went over to Flower Child and she spent a bananas amount of money with Megan Gailey. They’re BFF’s. So if you dug Gailey at The Big Chucklefck with Alan Cox, then you’ll definitely want to smother yourself in some Liza Treyger

I was sent this track a week ago by Brad of Field Day Recordings and I haven’t stopped listening to it since.

With the majority of independent music being released out of Cleveland being mostly Hardcore bands, Rap, and Bro-Step, FREEZE-TAG and his melodic/ambient  up-tempo tracks are a breath of fresh air in the local music scene.

Spaceman MD is an experimental duo from Cleveland, Ohio consisting of Connor Musarra aka Urbindex (brother of Frank Musarra aka Hearts Of Darknesses) and Greg Foley aka Slowpoke Jones. Musarra has been professionally producing, performing, and releasing music for years under the stage name Urbindex, including performances and collaborations with artists such as CX KiDTRONiK and Girl Talk. He is now attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. And Foley aka Slowpoke Jones, a senior at Hawken High School in Cleveland, the banjo/guitar powerhouse, brings a unique touch to this avant garde, yet accessible and exciting duo. Their new album, The Unbound World, brings an eclectic amalgam of styles to the table. They believe that when the lines are blurred between definitive genres, creative expression is in its purest form.
