Our good friend Krab Klaws sent us over this link to Jokers guest mix on Mary Anne Hobbs show from this past Friday. We wanted to pass it along to you.
When I traveled to Ultra Fest 2010 I had a chance to party it up with Ultrablack. Those cats are truly the wildest bunch of dudes I ever met. I hope you enjoyed that Excision remix above. Anyways, today is Dubstep Monday and our feature artist is Excision. This DJ does not spin dubstep, he makes transformers fight at all his performances. All jokes aside, Excision mashes up heavy bass rhythms with aggressive snares hits and crazy synths. Listening to his music is very energizing.
“At only 22, this young Canadians passion for music has already driven him to become one of the biggest Dubstep acts of North America, along with DatsiK. Anyone who has heard a set by this bad boy has walked away feeling energized and refreshed.” – Last FM Bio
The new EP is due out October 4th on Warp records. Rusties sounds definitely ranks up there with label mates Flying Lotus, and Hudson Mohawke. Its a short mix, only 5 minutes, but its a good sample of things to come.

PANTyRAiD are Josh Mayer aka Ooah of The Glitch Mob and Marty Folb aka Marty Party. They make brilliantly futuristic hip hop, in their own words: “PANTyRAiD is a true cross over project – hip hop, dubstep, electro-crunk… all done right with hard booty shaking instrumentation.”

Katy B makes her way to us from South London. Her influences span anywhere from dubstep, house, drum n bass, and hip-hop – to funk & soul. This is her first single, which was produced by Benga – and she is currently working on her first album.
