Please take a moment and press the play button before reading further. Yes, thats right. Feel free to sit back and let the sound envelop you. What you are listening to is an exclusive mix of musica bonita del bass put together by up-and-coming Argentinian musician, Adrian Espinosa, better known as Color Amor.
Color Amor hails from Mar del Plata, Argentina where he is involved in mixing, production and promotion of bass music. With influences ranging from King Tubby and Eek a Mouse to KRS One, Manu Chao and Jedi Mind Tricks; Espinosa’s music incorporates the free flowing ambiance of island rhythm and original dub with the harsh and heavy yet smart bite of underground hip-hop. Further, Espinosa is involved with a newly labeled subgenre of bass music called CumbiaStep, which is derived from the percussive Cumbia sound popular in Latin American music with the big bass that drives dubstep.
The 420 Mixtape has been a collaboration of ideas from members of The Coventry Kids and Ganjaology.org along with Color Amor himself. While it has been a long time coming, its finally here! Enjoy this mix and also check out the interview with Color Amor at Ganjaology.org.
