Dipset was definitely in the building at the Grog Shop on the night of July 24th. The MVP of the MPC, Araab Muzik, killed a set in which he showcased his eclectic influences in the form of beats spanning all genres. From using heavy metal guitar samples to orchestral samples, right on down to dabbling in the murky realm of dubstep, it was a captivating display of chaotic rhythms. I was at times out of breath myself standing completely still watching his hands move at breakneck speed. Much love was shown from the crowd of diverse faces and it brought great joy to my heart to have a reason to obnoxiously yell ‘DIPSET!’ repeatedly all night.
