
OOOOOO WEEEE! Summer is flying by and the parties are getting better and wilder. We here at The Cov Kids compound have been hitting the beach, biking, going ham at the club, kicking it with cuties, loud packs and molly, have kept us lamped up thus far. July is almost over which means you should be recovering from your last adventure and gear up for the next month of festivals.

Lollapalooza – Aug. 5th – Chicago, IL
This bitch has almost sold out most of their presale tickets. Grab your day tickets here…BEFORE THEY ARE GONE. So, with that being said you know this historical chicago festival will be amazing. The festival spans over 115 acres, includes multiple stages, with a diverse array of 130+ artists from hip-hop, electronica, reggae, indie, rock, modern roots, and many more. Lollapalooza encourages festival fans to park their bicycle, hit the farmers market, grab some gourmet grub, peruse handmade arts and crafts, get rewarded for recycling and – of course – rock out to some of the best music in the world.
HARD Summer 2011 – Aug. 6th – Los Angeles State Historic Park Los Angeles, CA
Get ready for an intense day in the park. By that I mean, be ready to jump around and sweat with 10,0000+ stranger. Tickets are moving fast for this day fest. Grab em here before your chance is gone. The headliners for this year’s event, which will again take place at the Los Angeles State Historic Park in downtown Los Angeles, include Duck Sauce (the dynamic duo of Armand van Helden and A-Trak responsible for the wonderfully silly “Barbra Streisand”), German fuzz-tech producers Boys Noize, dueling-guitar instrumentalists Ratatat, hip-hop collective Odd Future, Digitalism, Busy Pictionary (Busy P of Ed Banger and artist/producer So-Me), Gaslamp Killer, Acid Jacks and Karlsson & Winnberg of Miike Snow and others. As well, an entire tent will be turned over to James Murphy, formerly of LCD Soundsystem and his DJ partner, Pat Mahoney.
WEMF – Aug. 12th – Ontario, Canada
Tickets are still widely available…get ready for Canada’s World Electronic Music Festival on Aug 12-14, 2011. While the name remains the same, almost everything else has be updated, upgraded and sophisticated. Expect bigger and better talent from even more electronic genres, a much bigger emphasis on art and culture and greater community involvement. Introducing the “Tower of Destiny”. A highlight at last year’s Burning Man. The same people/projectors/vjs/stage will be used at WEMF 2011. For those that have never experienced this before, prepare to be blown away by the visuals of VJ INFINIGHT. As more artists are attempting to connect with their audiences in new ways, he started his odyssey into the visual world after looking to create a visual outlet to match his music. With ten years of DJ Experience under his belt, he is leading the AudioVisual revolution with his shows that have been captivating the attention of audiences all across the country. A VJ/DJ/Production Designer and producer; INFINIGHT’s shows incorporate local images, pop icons, and his own content and animation to create a show completely unique to each venue and location.When not on tour as the VJ for The Crystal Method, you can catch Infinight showcasing his work at festivals such as Burning Man and Coachella and Ultra Music Festival.
Pukkelpop – Aug. 18th – Hasselt, 123, Belgium
Each year Pukkelpop attracts thousands of vistors from Flanders and far beyond to the Kiewit site near Hasselt. Today Pukkelpop has become one of the biggest alternative open-air festivals in Belgium. This event is a unique and encompassing experience during which the music, in combination with the side events, forges an intense bond among the open-minded Pukkelpop audience. Pukkelpop prides itself on its progressive music programme, with its idiosyncratic blend of unforgettable top acts and surprising new talent. Each year in August about 200 acts play on one of the eight Pukkelpop stages during the three-day festival (from Thursday to Saturday). The campsite is opened on Wednesday, the day before the festival. Local party DJs provide an eclectic warm-up for this three-day feast for music lovers. Grab your tickets here.
Creamfields – Aug. 27th – Liverpool, United Kingdom
One of the world’s pre-eminent electronic music festivals, Creamfields has a history of names like Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Gorillaz, Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, Underworld, Outkast, Sasha, Jeff Mills and Paul Oakenfold. Creamfields remains a top destination for many electronic acts around the world today. Creamfields Hospitality Day Tickets have sold out!
